My First Ultra Half Marathon LSD on October 30, 2011

I was planning to have my solo ultra half marathon LSD this weekend when I learned through Facebook the organized 32K LSD of OK OK Runners. With that, I woke up very early this morning to catch up the onsite registration at Kilometer Zero.

And I was one of the early birds, the other participants who have registered online arrived past 4 AM. The orientation and warm-up took place after 4:30 AM,  and the two groups of runners with pacing 7-8mins/km and 9-10mins/km took off the road before 5AM.

My Second Running Shoes- New Balance!

After more than a year of using my Adidas running shoes which was a pasalubong of my Ninang Edith from Kuwait. And after more than 250 kilometers of mileage... I got myself a new running shoes for my birthday on November. Advance gift indeed, and it's a New Balance MR770GR!

Now, I can have my first running shoes on stand by mode and for short runs. Right now, I have done several runs to break in my NB shoes, during my first 10K run with NB, I got one big blister in my right mid-foot.

My New Balance shoes will be my running buddy when I conquer my first full marathon, as my Adidas shoes was my mate when I conquered my first half marathon up to my eight 21K this year.

Nike We Run Manila 10K Race Night Pics

Yesterday at 5PM, the Nike We Run Manila 10K was held at the Fort Bonifacio Global City. The activity venue was transferred at the 34th Street, well BGC is already becoming congested of new buildings and a lot of construction on-going.

The area was full of reddish orange due to the strict implementation of wearing the provided Nike Running tee. It was a nice race in general with a lot of hydration and music,(free concert at the post-race event) but there are also negative feedback such as the congested race route, unlighted route, nightmare at the baggage counter (it was great that we did not leave our things there) and the failed promise of the finishers award upon crossing the line among others.

Pinoy Fitness Booth at the KOTR Kick Off

After we claimed our Nike We Run Manila 10K race packs last October 12, we dropped by at the NBC Tent to visit the Pinoy Fitness booth at the KOTR kick off.

There's a photo wall at the PF booth and they were holding a raffle! Of course we tried our luck by posing with Nathan Sports bottle and by filling up the raffle coupon. Winners will be announced on October 17th as posted in their website.
