Rescue Run Race Day Pics

My last run for this year 2011 took place this morning at the RESCUE RUN which was organized by Greentennial Events in just 9 days for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Sendong. The event was held in McKinley Hills, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City with the lone category of 5K run.

I think the event was a huge success with the runners turn-out despite the short time preparation. It was indeed a collective effort of the running community here in Metro Manila, the different running teams and groups are also present and a lot of volunteers!

Lastly, it felt so great to be of HELP to our countrymen who are in need while doing what we LOVE best, RUNNING! Cheers to everyone!!!

ARC Thursday Fun Run last November 10, 2011

It was my second visit to ARC (A Runner's Circle) store last November 10, 2011 during the weekly Thursday Fun Run (TFR). It is a 5.2KM run from the store at Quirino Ave corner Roxas Boulevard going to CCP, Senate Building and back.

Run for the Pasig River - Race Day Pics

Today, November 20, 2011 or 11.20.2011, the Philippines again attempted to break the Guinness World Record of Most Participated Eco-Foot Race at the Run for the Pasig River.

We joined the 5K run, the same as last year's category. The starting point this time was at the Roxas Boulevard corner Pedro Gil Street. Just at the estimate of the 3K crowd as well as the 5K, I believe that this morning's event surpassed the previous world record set last year.

Though the organizers tried to offer a wider route for all participants, the stop-run-walk and zig zag style was still needed for runners like us to get through the crowd of people mostly students who prefer to walk.

All in all, it was a fun activity and knowing that it would go to a noble cause, the feeling was great!

Run for the Pasig River - My Race Packet

At the almost last day of registration, we decided to join again at the Run for the Pasig River. Last year, 10.10.10, we joined the 116,000 runners and walkers alike in achieving a Guinness World Record.

And this year, the organizers are again attempting to beat that record at the aim of 150,000 runners. I hope that this time, the roads are wider enough to accommodate everyone.

Second chapter of the St. Peter Life Run is happening on October 23, 2011 simultaneously on MANILA – SM Mall of Asia, CEBU – Asiatown IT Park and DAVAO – Abreeza Mall. Check out details here!
